President Trump is considering a 20% tariff on imports of steel and possibly a number of other goods. What will this do to scrap prices?

If that happens, that means I actually will be able to find more jobs to work on ( my day job is industrial construction / instrument tech ) !
Before anyone #s about "free trade" and all that - Europe, Japan and many other areas has strict import / export laws and tariffs on US exported goods ( chickens is a good example ), yet no one complains about it.
Does anyone give a rat's tail about American industry, or does everyone think the entire US can magically start working in an office ( which those jobs are disappearing as well ), or at minumum wage retail / restaurants ?
China could for a period use stock pile & there own steel
& starve us out to lower price thus reestablish 20% higher cost to NILL
Or scrap will have more value (scrap yards respond to live pricing situation's)
But back to us as consumers our metal product we enjoy will cost more .
